2024 CAMP FUEL INFORMATION

Due to FAA regulations and for the safety of all passengers and crew, passengers are not permitted to bring fuel of any kind aboard our aircraft.

This includes iso-butane canisters, propane canisters, butane canisters, denatured alcohol, solid fuel tablets, white gas and gasoline.

This also includes Thermacell Mosquito Repellant Fuel Cartridges.

 

Camping stove fuel in the form of iso-butane and white gas can be purchased on Isle Royale, at both Windigo and Rock Harbor.

For the 2024 season, the procedures for purchasing camp fuel on the island are as follows: 

 

-If you are arriving at Rock Harbor between May 19th and September 21st, you may

purchase iso-butane and white gas at the Rock Harbor store next to the Visitor

Center. The store will sell fuel even if they are closed for other purchases in the

early and late season.

- If you are arriving at Windigo between May 19th and September 17th, you may

purchase iso-butane and white gas at the Windigo store. The store will sell fuel

even if they are closed for other purchases in the early and late

season.

-For passengers arriving at Windigo September 18-21, please contact us to arrange for pre-positioning camp fuel
